Laxmi is the founder of Lead & Ascend Consulting which helps law firms and lawyers lead, innovate and thrive. Having practised as a lawyer in Big Law and in-house, and now specialising in research on corporate law firms, Laxmi is uniquely positioned to help law firms and lawyers thrive.

Laxmi has extensive experience of providing consulting, training and coaching. She combines this with doctoral research on how lawyer psychology shapes performance and success in corporate law firms. Laxmi combines her first-hand experience as a lawyer with deep knowledge of psychology and neuroscience from her masters degrees from the University of East London and City St George’s, respectively.

Prior to this, Laxmi practised law as a funds lawyer in private practice and in-house at BlackRock, BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas Securities Services and LGIM. Laxmi also brings experience of working in various non-legal roles in magic circle and US law firms as well as Big 4 accountancy.

Laxmi has a law degree from the University of Oxford and completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law.
